Free Survey Cad Technician - Grand Rapids

The Survey CAD Technician will play a critical role in supporting our civil engineering and surveying projects. This position requires a minimum of one year of professional full-time CAD experience in a similar industry, with a focus on utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or GeoPAK. The role entails processing raw information from designers, creating construction plans, and accurately importing survey data. Responsibilities

Perform basic mathematical calculations for projects
Detail and develop construction plans from raw data
Review and check plans for accuracy
Utilize station offset methods for setting points
Process engineering calculations using software with minimal supervision
Produce site plans and utility layouts with guidance from designers
Generate stake-out coordinates for field crew
Import survey data into Civil 3D
Create boundary, topographical, and As-built surveys

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of CAD experience in a similar industry
Proficient in Civil 3D and CAD standards
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to interpret and map existing utilities accurately

Education Requirements

Associate’s degree preferred but not required

d. Creating break lines from Survey Figures and modifying Survey Figures.

e. Interpreting and Mapping existing utilities accurately from a variety of record types including scans, JPGs, PDFs and GIS data.
